Read it after seeing the movie just to re-hash the plot especially since the beginning of the movie can feel a little confusing before you get a handle on all the players.

Provides a smidge of inner monologue to help flesh out some characters but there's nothing earth shattering here but that's OK.

This story has such a special place in my heart and Freed's novelisation was everything I'd hoped for, just thinking about it makes me so happy.

Ačkoliv SW miluju a Rogue One mám jako film fakt ráda, tak tohle mi nesedlo. Jestli styl psaní, nebo fakt nevím.. Ale jedna věc byla jako ve filmu. Jyn byla stejně otravná a nesympatická :D

If this were a standalone Star Wars novel, I think I would have enjoyed it more. As a novelization, I don't think it's very good - it does help to flesh out characters and scenes more, but in a lot of cases that is actually not a good thing. Cassian comes off as much more of a jerk than he is in the movie, and Jyn comes off as a very weak character, which she most certainly isn't in the film. A missed opportunity by a talented writer, in my opinion.

My first time reading a novelization and it was pretty awesome. Added a lot to the already existing material, especially in terms of characterization.
