I like this book it was set in a old period of time with a new edge of adding a witch craft mystery and a touch of young love.
There was a lot of build up for what was eventually a kinda “meh” ending. Plus the love triangle got tedious — although to be fair, I don’t care for that trope to begin with. Still, it was a fun read!
I enjoyed this book quite a lot. It was simple and interesting, and was able to keep me hooked for the entire time. The twist was too predictable tho, and the romance didn't convinced me 100%. Still a book I would totally recommend for a quick and soft read.
This story caught my interest when I found out the caged graves this book is based on were real. I was intrigued to find out that the author had never been able to find out the real story behind them so she came up with her own. I enjoyed this creepy young adult mystery which even included some romance.
When I originally read the back of this book, I thought it had zombies and I was reluctant to take it home with me. However, I decided to anyway to just give it a try.
And it did not disappoint.
I'm in love with this book. Once I really got into it, I read it practically all of the way through. The history in the book was well done and I loved Verity. She was a great female character. I even loved the love triangle (I know, I know) and I usually can't stand them. Both Hadley and Nate were great guys and I loved them both, but I believe that Verity picked the right one in the end (usually I'm torn, so this was great). The plot was great and it didn't slow down. All in all, one of my new favorites!!

WOW.
I’m not sure what I was expecting, but this book took me completely by surprise. It was heartfelt and mysterious and exciting and funny and such a quick read.
If you like mystery with a side of romance, definitely check this one out!

This is an engrossing historical novel with a good deal of romance and mystery. Verity Boone scores high on my Mattie Gokey Scale of awesome historical heroines. I love that even though she's a spirited young lady, yearning for some female independence, she still has a love story. The caged graves of Catawissa, PA make for a slightly creepy setting, adding to the urgency of the mystery.

Spooky YA mystery with a sweet, sweet romance. I read this with a group and was a little afraid of the spookiness but it was very YA, just enough to get you guessing. It was a little predictable at times but still very entertaining. I’m not a fan of love triangles and this one has it but I do love the arranged marriage trope so it was a win for me.
