Levana is just.... horrible. Bravo to Meyer for this book. Because usually when we get the Villains backstory, we inevitably learn their side and feel as if we need to empathize with them.
One thing I really liked about this Novella is that it doesn't try to justify her choices and make us empathize with her. It honestly does the opposite - it makes us love to hate her that much more by learning her backstory and seeing the terrible choices she made. She's quite the hypocrite too, calling her sister vain and selfish and then we see all the cruel selfish motivations behind Levana's decisions.
I really enjoyed this and think it will give that much more weight when I read Winter. Because now I'll know that backstory between Winter and her Stepmother.

I found this books very hard to read. Not because it wasn't good but because it was odd and disturbing to read from the pov of the antagonist.
No necesitaba una precuela para seguir detestando a Levana. En serio. Pese a mí no favoritismo hacia este personaje, ese pasado hizo que fuera una excelente villana.
