Cute, lighthearted hockey romance. Spicy scenes are very good.

I’m in the fattest reading slump and this book just wasn’t helping. I couldn’t bring myself to care and I wasn’t connecting with the writing. I might pick this book back up in the future but the chances are low…

Yikes, the audio for this book is awful. I love the book itself and have read a couple times, so thought I’d give the audio a try and would not recommend. The female narrator sounds like she’s reading a bedtime story to a child. The guy talks much to slow and weirdly, not what you’d expect a college jock to talk like.

Another 3.5 book. On the good side of 3 stars. I loved both of the main characters. The build up to the reveal to what caused them to hate each other was so well done. They both grew while learning other perspective. Not really a slow burn.. more like hate each other to hate each other with benefit to the eventual falling. Loads of good tropes and done right.

The two MC have a history, but we don’t know about it for a bit. But as a friendship blooms, we find out more about their history. The tension and the banter was fantastic. Few cringe moments, but not too hardcore that can’t be overlooked. The MMC was so sweet and considerate.

I freaking can’t stop reading hockey romances. They kill me.

Not a slow burn.

I loved getting to know Harlow and Conor in this newer version! The older version will always have a place in my heart but mannn this one felt a lot more grown up and I think linked a lot of ideas within the story so well!

This is one of my comfort reads (5th time reading but first time with the new version!) and so I read the old version first and this one right after. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint!! I could see all the changes and they happened flawlessly in my eyes and some of the changes made a lot more sense in this way!

I loved the way Harlow and Conor's relationship developed and shifted throughout the story - very sweet but also at some moments angsty but also filled with so much tension - and the spice was so good!! I want to read it again just writing this review lol always always always recommending!
