While I'm still somewhat bitter about New 52 (I know, it's been awhile, get over it), I do enjoy this series. I'm especially interested in the story line involving James Jr., which I assume will be handled more in the issues following these.

It's the strength of Barbara's inner voice that carries this comic. Her personality comes through so clearly, and I love that she's honest about how difficult things still are for her.. that she comes so close to losing, and that she has to use every drop she has left in the tank. She never gives up.

Knightfall was an OK villain, her henchmen were kind of lame though. James Gordon Jr rocks up and I had no idea he was evil/a serial killer, so that took me by surprise! Interested to see what he gets up to in the next volume. This is also the first time that I, and Barbara, meet Batwoman. She doesn't say much but she seems pretty cool.

Creepy AF.

I am digging this book! Excellent story telling and very good artwork. The series is consistently strong.

These are still pretty underwhelming. I love Barbara Gordon. I want these to be better.

Being a Bat- book, this is pretty firmly in the dark and gritty category, which isn't my favorite. That said, Barbara is pretty compelling, and I enjoy awesome ladies being awesome, and this volume was pretty interesting, so all in all, I'll be looking for the next volume.

I really love the stories and most of the art in this book, but the internal monologue makes it REALLY hard to read (yellow on black thought bubbles), which reduces my enjoyment of it.

The other other odd bit about this volume was issue 9, which was apparently part of a big DC New 52 crossover story. Thing is, reading in a volume like this, and not having read ANY of the other stories, I had no clue what was going on! It ended, then the regular continuity kicked back in – I had to look up what that was all about. Annoying, because it was actually really interesting, and I would have liked to read more, but I'm not interested in buying different titles to follow one story.

Anyway, liking Batgirl. Like the story, like the protag, like the glimpses of other characters we get.
