I normally love Salman Rushdie, but this book didn’t do much for me. I didn’t dislike it, but I didn’t love it as much as I’ve loved his other books. It was a solid “meh” for me.

Salmon Rushdie at his storytelling finest. An epic story set in 15th century India. Magic realism, legend, archetypes, goddesses and gods all woven into the story of an orphaned girl who is imbued with the essence of a goddess.
