I will buy the official translation of the book when it arrives to internal market... Until than the bootlegged translation of makes Meatbun Doesn't Eat Meatbun is my favourite angsty author of all time. This book is chaos, and it will make you sad, angry in frustration, is extremely erotic that it will make you thirsty and it's full of love.

Don't pick the book if you can't handle: Rape, Torture, Kidnapping, Dub-con, physical violence, murder, melodramatic dissent into madness.

You will love Mo-Ran, you will hate Mo-Ran, you will cry for Mo-Ran, but it is Chu-Wanning who will prove you, love can make us do the crazy thing to save the one we care about.

Despite everything it, the book is an extremely sarcastic and funny book which happily questions privilege and morality, the author gnaws at the bones of societal structures and drinks it hypocrisy dry and then spits it out at people's face. Meatbun can almost compete with Priest in terms of roasting their own characters.

A plot-driven story that also develops its characters so thoroughly you feel like you know every single one, which only makes the plot more emotional when it rears up.

I don't have words, Chu Wanning is one of the most well-written characters I have ever had the pleasure of reading about. I loved this flaws, his habits and how he slowly warmed up towards others. I absolutely adored his character and I loved Mo Ran's narrative of how he struggled with his own feelings and how at times he seemed like a young teen and at other times was more like the 30-year-old man that he was supposed to be. It's only the first book but it had so many elements in it and it flowed amazingly. Definitely worth reading and I can't wait to read the next book. This is also the first danmei I'm reading that is not from mxtx and I loved how the author did the split between present and past. Meatbun's writing is a pure pleasure to read and the FEELINGS she gives you through this book, I could go on forever.
