This was not my favorite. There were some cute parts, but I felt that the writing was repetitive. They kept having flash backs to their first night together almost every chapter. I also was baffled that she would move across the country for $22k which isn’t even minimum wage for a full year.

This started off cute but it quickly turned very insta-lovey and kept making the same arguments about choice vs fate. Got bored pretty quickly hahaha but pushed myself to finish it.

Story was cute and the characters were cute. I tend to think that everything happens for a reason so the concept of fate driven characters and their stories was cute and fun. The grand gesture at the end was really cute and made my heart full.

"gravity is invisible, but we can measure it. what are the gravitational effects of fate but people being pulled toward their destined soulmates?"
"Our main goal, when you really boil it down, is to get through the day and live to see another one."

First book of 2024 is “Red String Theory” by @laurenkjessen. It is an absolutely delightful story that mixed fate and destiny with free will and choice. It bounces between NYC and LA and centres on Jack and Rooney as our romantic couple. Out today, this book is everything that you want in a romantic story and my only wish is that I wish it had been longer because I wanted to spend more time with the characters.

Honestly, this didn’t work for me. There was a *lot* of talking, which somehow didn’t go anywhere. There was no sense of connection or chemistry between the characters. Jackson in particular had no personality and was sort of a cardboard cutout. I liked the premise and was looking forward to this, so I am quite disappointed.
