Two random people meet in New York City and spend one magical night together. They then find there way back to each other. This is a grumpy guy and sunshine female book. I really enjoyed it and thought it was super cute. It also talked about soulmates vs choosing your person .

Very cute story. There were points that didn’t make a ton of sense to me but all in all was pretty cute!

I like this book more than Lunar Love, and I liked the connection to the characters from the first book. However, the love interests just didn’t connect with me.
It was cute! I really liked Jack and Rooney. Things with her father felt a little unfinished but I don't think it really needed it. I like how well rounded they both were.

Everything about this felt specifically designed for me! Opposites attract à la artist, fate-believing fmc and a scientist, anti-fate mmc. Rooney and Jack fall for each other in a completely ridiculous, chance encounter filled night. It's the kind of insta-love that makes me believe it's really possible.
Fate is the (red) string that ties the whole thing together. Rooney and Jack are opposites, but LKJ utilizes that fact to force Rooney and Jack to communicate! It's just delightful! Also, can we talk about how perfectly the slowburn was done in RST because I was giggling, kicking my feet at the smallest interactions.
A phenomenal follow up to Lunar Love! Perfect for anyone looking for a low/no heat romance with great Asian American representation and discussions on fate.
