Story of a courageous child and a mother's love. My children never get tired of this one.

Finally read this children's classic! A great book for teaching that the ways we are different are not good or bad- they just ARE!

Quite literally the most important book to me. I was given this book by my kindergarten teacher on my birthday and I will never forget how it made me feel. Thankful it exists :)

Cute story about a fruit bat, but my youngest only cared about the mean owl. She liked the movie version better.

Growing up this was always one of my favorite stories from my mom. She would read it to my brother and I as a way to remind us that no matter where we end up we would always be able to come back to each other and our family. It kept me grounded and she recently unearthed my well loved copy. Stellaluna contains cute illustrations as well as facts about bats and birds that are interesting. It is a good book for students to look at to talk about inclusion and acceptance as well.

I was captivated by this beautiful story (and bats frighten me!). It is very well-written and flows beautifully.

This is not only a great story but it's also informational. It teaches you about bats and birds. It also shows that you should always be yourself.

This book was so adorable! The art work is simple, yet extremely beautiful. And the story is so touching! My heartstrings were definitely pulled when poor little Stellaluna was separated from her mom and was so scared! But, like any children's story, the ending was a happy one; and the tale was a meaningful one of love, acceptance, and friendship!
