A quick, spicy read with a dose of mafia and suspense, mixed with emotions and lies. Loved Will and Teresa story, the fake relationship, Southpaws story, and her love for her brother. Adding to favorites, and possibly even my reread potential list

I powered through this hoping it would get better. This was so incredibly boring. Even the sex scenes and dialogue were boring and kind of cringe at times.
I’ve never read a Tessa Bailey book before because all of her newer books have cartoon covers and I have a very strict policy against them (I’ve been burned too many times). So tried reading something with an acceptable cover that seemed like it would be more interesting to me - this was not it. Takes a lot for me to not care what happens to the couple in a romance book but one of them could have fallen off a cliff and I wouldn’t have been bothered by it.

Holy shit. HOLY. SHIT.
I’m not capable of thinking at the moment. I’ll just say I adored this, and it’s done more to solidify Tessa Bailey as a must read for me more than any of her romcoms I’ve read (and I adore all of them).

A quick timeline, but the love felt real.
Tessa Bailey knows how to write a good man with a dirty mouth.
I love that there was no kink shaming, but instead taught them about themselves and how to build trust.
I loved Will and Teresa’s relationship. And I’m a sucker for a book with an animal.

Audiobook. Library. My tenth Tessa Bailey and my first 5 stars for her. Will Caruso is going on the fictional men I love list.

I wanted to love this I did. I had a huge issue with a lot of it.
There were some things I loved like the pup, but there were others that were huge issues. Like if you’re running a huge hedge fund, you have a guy you can call to find any info, how do you not know that your crime lord dad has his hand in it? It just frustrates me and had me struggling to get into the story. It seemed like a lot of holes in it. Did I hate the story? No, but I also didn’t love it.
