One of my first forays into a classical philosophical text and found it very accessible (perhaps also thanks to the guys at The Partially Examined Life podcast). Despite Socrates coming across as a know-it-all, he argues about whether what he does is good or evil and concludes for himself that, because his intentions are good and a voice in his head tells him to continue doing it, his meddling and cross-examining of people on the street on the value of their virtues is inherently a thing that should continue and be preserved. I agree with Socrates in so much as they should have taken him aside and talked to him, teaching him something instead of making it a big issue on a public platform. For some reason, that feels incredibly comtemporary.

The hour of departure has arrived, and we go our ways- I to die, and you to live. Which is better God only knows. What a beautiful ending! I love his argumentation, and I definitely pondered with him!
