Angie! Thomas! Please! Offer! Me! Some! Spare! Talent!
This book...oh my god, it was so gOOD. Thomas's writing style is fantastic. The characters are great and impeccably developed. The way that the emotional scenes hit...OW. Just. Do yourself a favor and read this book.

Angie Thomas is queen! Another wonderful book and portrays underprivileged communities in such a way that it makes you believe you were right there with them. Another 5/5 stars and I can’t wait to see what Angie Thomas comes out with next!

So far I’m loving all of Angie Thomas’s books. So easy to read, which often means there’s no style to the writing, but this is one of the special ones that sits right in the pocket of having a genuine ‘voice’ while still being natural and not making me work hard.
Her characters are well drawn, and if sometimes her secondary characters lack a little complexity, they’re plot-movers in a way that makes it okay.
I also love feeling like I’ve gotten a peek inside a life on this earth that is not like mine.
Looking forward to Concrete Rose!

This book was phenomenal. I fell in love with Brianna, her friends and family and their lives, their minds, and their hearts.
