This book has been one of the most enjoyable and eerie graphic novels I have read in a while. Jeff Lemire presents an atmospheric tale of a man taking a twilight zone-esque journey and I enjoyed every panel.

Good read. Somber but interesting and makes you think about fatherhood/parenthood and living in a small town or with little money. Beautiful but also somber artwork. Recommended for a public library of medium size at least, fathers or those interested in sci-fi spookiness.

I'm not sure what to say about Lemire's work that I haven't said in previous reviews - except that it continues to be brilliant. Fatherhood, regret, family, memory, longing - all of these come together in the surreal, solemn, and utterly human style that Lemire captures so well. His work is weighty and beautiful and strikes right at the heart. I am thoroughly impressed.
