Fun book with a side of serious. Tone reminds me of works by Sophie Kinsella.

As usual I liked the book better than I did the movie. I was always excited to see what the next letter would lead to
Kind of tedious. I didn't really give a crap what happened to her. She was pretty whiny, so...
Love the audible narrator, love the change of characters from the film, still slightly insufferable but good if you can ignore how ridiculous the girls can be sometimes.
I probably would never have read this book if they weren’t making a movie out of it. Ahern has realistically captured the ups and downs of a woman whose life has fallen apart and how she picks herself back up and moves on, one step at a time. I am looking forward to the movie- but “God-Shaped Hole” is better.
If you have seen the movie and not read the book, forget what you saw in the movie. The books is so much better. This book will make you cry. This book will make you sob. Be prepared with lots of tissues and try not to read it at night because you will wake up with after crying eyes.
This book is the epitome of romance. A dying husband plans a way to have his wife receive letters (once a month for a year) after his death. It is an amazingly romantic and beautiful story. I think that if you like chick lit, you will like this book.
