Hilarious audio drama I listened to while driving around to various daily obligations. My only complaint is the sound recording would occasionally become pretty hard to hear, even with the volume turned extremely high.

To a friend in 2006:
"You have GOT to read this more than you have ever had to read anything ever. You will love it. It's pure brilliance the whole way through. It's a fairly quick read and all, plus, the spine is just about impossible to bend (I love it!), so if you'd like me to lend it to you, let me know. Highly recommended to anyone with the sense of humour, this book is. I almost never laugh out loud while reading books, but I did on at least every second page with this one. I think it may be one of my favourite books ever."

Are you into lighthearted British wit? Does 1930's slang really get you going? Does an absurd plot involving a crafty butler, a beloved aunt, and cow-creamer heist sound up your alley? Then you'd love this book.
This was fun, but I daresay the humor of Terry Pratchett is more my style. I did fall asleep multiple times while reading Code of the Woosters, even when I started energetically. The plot is just soooooo low stakes that it is hard to be invested. I didn't even laugh out loud like I do with Pratchett or even Monty Python. I found things amusing and clever throughout, but not enough to read any other Jeeves themed books.
My favorite part of this book was the 1930's British slang. Some of it felt like it's making a resurgence today! For example, my friends and I sometimes say "I'm close to a menty B" when we mean "mental breakdown." One of the lines in this book is "I sank into a c. and passed an agitated h. over to the b." I translated this into, "I sank into a chair and passed and agitated hand over to the butler." It felt very modern, but culture is cyclical in some ways isn't it?
