I found some of these stories a bit difficult to follow. As they're short there's not a lot of time to get to know the characters which can be confusing. Overall though, quite entertaining.

i could not. care less. about the stories in this book. Initially i wanted to review each story even for a few sentences but they're so boring. A lot of them are not about murders, either about robbery or espionage shit, and i don't care about them. The murdery ones are not very good. Poirot's insufferable in these. I don't have to read it so I won't.

Filled with bits and bobs of detective flair, The complete Poirot is a tasty compilation and a showcase of Christie's genius. While it's contents may rise and fall in freshness and wit, it is a worthy anthology to dip into.

Great fun. it's always fun to read Agatha Christie's books and Poirot is my favorite of her detectives. The stories are all high quality.

Great stories, but more story than detective novel

I enjoyed all these stories, but I always felt that the reader was left “ out of the loop” in many of them. Half the fun of crime stories is trying to figure out “whodunnit” before the author tells you. In nearly all these stories, critical pieces of evidence aren’t revealed to the reader until after the solution is explained! For example, the set up explains a letter was found with a date, but then only in the explanation are we told that the date was visibly altered!

It's so interesting to read shorter stories of Poirot, getting more acquainted with his personality and style, and reading about England around the end of WWI.
