I loved the action sequences and learning more about all of the characters. I wasn’t a fan of how often Cas and Poppy were reduced to their lust for each other

So good. Kept me hooked start to finish. Cannot wait for A War of Two Queens!

I think one of the reasons I really really enjoy this series, and why a lot of people seriously hate these books is because they are written a lot like fan fiction. It’s a very basic and simple writing style that I’m used to. It almost feels like YA, but not really. The witty banter that’s so flipping repetitive ( I have a question…. NO ONE IS SURPRISED), the major plot twists that you see from a mile away, it’s all very juvenile, in a way that I really love. It genuinely feels like this might be something I read on ao3, and I say that as a compliment :)

The only thing holding this back from a better review, is just how long and wordy it is. Some things definitely could've been glossed over or taken out all together, but overall not a bad book and I'm excited to continue following their journey!

The series picks up in this book! Really enjoyed the ending but felt like it was so much build up getting there.
