I listened to this story on the Escape Pod podcast where it was performed by an ensemble cast, which was well suited to the style of the narrative, coming in the form of journal entries from the cast of characters. I found the tone of the story to be refreshingly upbeat (even when the characters themselves were being anything but), and while I am not usually a sucker for happy endings, I was quite satisfied with how this one wrapped itself up.
