Cyclone of emotions going on here, kskakqkjska!! I loved the message about them needing to have faith in each other and how strong that makes their relationship đŸ©” always assuming the best and working through things from there. Was a good ending! Tied things up nicely. Also I consumed this within 24 hours 💅

This book is way spicier than I expected. Not complaining, though!

Brandon was 10/10 swoon worthy and I loved how the book played with tropes and hit all the right notes. Even though I knew exactly how it was going to end, I felt so stressed!

At first it came across as a little frivolous. I kept listening as the lightness actually matched my mood and grew to like it.
Liked the characters and enjoyed the storyline regardless the predictability of it all. Maybe this is what makes it an easy read/listen.
Quite explicit in description (IYKYK).

Almost absolutely perfect. This book made me
feel ALL THE THINGS. I feel changed by the romance between Piper and Brendan. Fizzy veins!

I feel it’s important that Piper’s life, mannerisms and likes were not trivialised and made to seem wrong in the face of her adjustment to Westport. It’s all too easy with a woman’s character’s arc to take her to a place where her spotlight is dimmed ‘for her own good’ because she’s seen as silly, vain and materialistic. Like Piper says, it’s perfectly okay to love the things she does and dress the way she does but “is this it?” The feminist in me was sated.

I’d drop half a star for the very very very cliche and cringe worthy scene of everyone speaking at the grand opening. It was just a little too movie-worthy but honestly everything else makes up for it. Brendan’s conflict resolution skills in the middle of the book? Chef’s kiss. The recharging station? 100% something Piper would say and make stick, no matter how bizarre it sounded at first. Her growth? So relatable. Brendan’s acts of service? SWOON. I’m not ashamed to admit I felt like a giggly teenager reading this. So many laugh out loud moments.

Schitt’s Creek is one of my top 5 faves and Tessa did Alexis perfect justice.

Bring on Hannah and Fox!
