This was a great middle grade novel about an autistic girl written by a neurodivergent author. We need more books that offer a realistic view of neurodivergence from authors that have firsthand experience.

Adie doesn't have autism. She is autistic. She navigates school and relationships with the help of her older sister Kitty, who is also autistic, and of her whole family.
When she learns in class about the witches that were burned in her town, she makes it her mission to get the town to put up a memorial to remember these women who were wrongly accused of crimes they had not committed.
In the process, she encounters bullies and finds friendship.

This is a really beautiful story, told in Adie's POV.

What a great book. I loved everything about it. Especially appreciate the perspective from someone autistic and giving others that lens to looks through. Addie is a person we should all aspire to be more like. Different is beautiful.
