Hoewel Butcher & Blackbird absoluut mijn favoriet blijft uit de serie door de competitie en alle chaos die daarbij komt kijken, is Scythe & Sparrow denk ik wel mijn 2e favoriet.
Deze serie is echt een guilty pleasure read voor mij, net als reality tv dat voor veel mensen is. Is het specifiek erg goed? Nee. Blijf ik toch vermaakt en doorlezen? Ja.

None of the rest of the series hit like B&B, BUT to give this book credit it was better than L&L. Also, slow burn done well is fantastic because it gives you time to get to know the characters really well and that wasn’t the case here at all. All the character development was inner monologue? They didn’t talk, didn’t banter - I’m not sure why they’re in love tbh other than both finding each other hot and recognising darkness in each other? Which is conjecture on their part honestly because I don’t feel like they ever discussed it.
omg! best series i have ever read... i want more of them. Fionn and Rose will have a special place in my heart, same with Barbera

When Rose, a circus performer with a murderous streak ends up hurt in small town Nebraska, Dr. Fionn Kane comes to her rescue. He's been running from his own darkness, but soon, they find themselves falling for each other. This was the final book in the Kane brothers' story and it was funny, spicy, a bit gory, a bit dark. I really enjoyed these characters (esp cially Rose) and this book tied in some pieces from the other two books.

This series owns my heart in a very real way! And the second I started Scythe and Sparrow, I absolutely DEVOURED it. So much love for Fionn and Rose - their sweet tenderness, their hilarious banter, and the total mayhem… obsessed!
