This fits into the genre of "book that teaches the opposite lesson it is about". I think it probably gave my nephew ideas for ways to misbehave.

***All questions answered by my 4 year old***

Do you like this book?
Yeah! I super like it! I just like this book 30

What's your favorite part of the book?
The superheroes! The Monsters! The Bad Guys! Beastie is my favorite superhero

What do you think of the cover?
Yeah it's silly. I like the superhero holding the web to stop the rain. But it's not stopping the rain! Webman is my favorite too.

Do you want me to read it again?
No, not ever. I will read it again later.

What Momma Thinks...

I really enjoy reading this book. The cartoons are silly and really cute. I love the rhyming so it's really easy to read. I also really love that it's teaching that it's okay to feel and have emotions, but throwing a fit just isn't okay. Finn really enjoyed me reading this to him, he kept pointing to the superheroes and making up names for them, like "Webman", "Louderman", or "Tornadio"

Cute. Decent anger management philosophy, with some suggestions on how to redirect. Older kid.

The story is super didactic and boring. The illustrations are subtly racist and overtly sexist, reinforcing all sorts of terrible, societal norms.

Genevieve is really into superheroes right now, she’s also really into throwing tantrums. So this is the perfect book for her so she can see that throwing a tantrum isn’t necessary. We even talked about how superheroes have to use their nice hands even when they’re angry.

When superheroes have bad days, they learn to channel their negative energy in positive ways.

Great rhyming text in the style of Jane Yolen's Dinosaur book series. Good book for preschool kids who love superheros.

Fun, rhyming superhero read that talks about how superheroes choose to do good even when they’re upset. I especially like the page showing the superheroes meditating. This is a great book to introduce the idea of mindfulness and letting yourself feel your emotions but not letting them control you.

The illustrations were lovely and full of details that the kids loved. The text didn't grab me quite so much, but the "How Do Dinosaurs" formula works pretty well for superheroes
