this book was extremely fascinating and very accessible for a newcomer to ballet. alice robb seamlessly includes themes of feminism, mental illness, and sociology into this book while still focusing on ballet.

As others have said, I wish this had been more of a personal memoir and mot a re ap of others memoirs/a ballet history lesson. There’s enough of that out there now.
