Total trash, I wish you could give negative star ratings!
[a:Debbie Macomber|11349|Debbie Macomber|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1375290567p2/11349.jpg]'s stories are sweet and happy ending. I like how this series leaves just enough up in the air to want to read the next book. I also adore the fact that it takes place in the Pacific Northwest, in Washington State and the surroundings are everything I am familiar with.
I rounded up to 4. I was really in for a tearjerker and this was it for me. A couple's marriage is on the rocks: the wife got drunk and ended up having a one night stand after finding her husband carrying on an online affair. A young women finally decides to meet someone she has connected to online over her protective mother's objections.
Maybe I am just getting more attached to the returning characters Jo Marie keeps trying to unearth her handyman's secrets and deal with her grief from her husband's death.
Also like the idea of "comfort dogs" for people who are grieving.

Dennie Macomber is back! Her past couple of books fell flat, in my opinion, but this was the writing I expected. The characters were well developed, and I loved the plot. I hope we will learn more about the inn guests that we were introduced to in this book.
I didn't enjoy the guests' stories in this book as much as previously. There was a lot of trust issues, which I would have been much less likely to forgive as quickly as they did. I don't know if it's authentic to have characters moving past issues in a short weekend stay.
Jo Marie and Mark interest me and I wish we got a bit more of their story. I fear it will be the entire series before we get some good romance from them.
Anxiously awaiting the next book.

This was an amazing read. The Rose Harbor series just keeps getting better and better. This is the third instalment to the series, and I loved it. Jo Marie and Mark Taylor are really cute together and I want them to be a couple. Jo Marie has three new visitors at the Inn: Ellie Reynolds, and the Porters (Maggie and Roy). Ellie Reynolds came to Cedar Cove to meet Tom and to know more about her father. Maggie and Roy Porter came to the Inn to rekindle their marriage. It has been through some difficult times as we continue their journey in this book. The story was heartfelt and sweet. I thought the characters were more interesting in this one. Also, it seems like when characters stay at the Inn at Rose Harbor that people find themselves and in turn love. I think that is beautiful. I can’t wait to read Silver Linings next. Overall, an incredible read.
This series always makes me cry then at the end I have a happy feeling. I love how Jo Marie is always there for her guests and puts their needs first even though she is struggling. She is dealing with the death of her husband and trying to figure out why her friend Mark is acting so weird. She just doesn't understand why he is being secretive and standoffish...
Looking forward to reading the next book!
