Didn't love this one.
I don't enjoy sad endings or non-endings, and I felt this was a bit of both.
I didn't like the ending and the whole story felt really slow like nothing really happened. Books like this one are the reason I prefer YA fantasy books. These kinds of books have sad adults living sad lives, and YA books have dragons and magic. Just saying..

I have mixed feelings about this book. It's a story that's supposed to be sad and reflective, but I sometimes felt it was a bit too detailed. Also, I didn't feel a connection to/compassion for Lucy. The story's about how to deal with two people you love and choices that are made because of that.

I really liked the author’s writing style and the stylistic choices of this book.

I found the characters thoughts and actions pretty realistic, while the situations were, maybe, not as much.

All the same, this was a nice quick read.

This book was so heartbreakingly sad, I predicted me outcome very early on but that did not stop the tears from rolling in by the end. This story holds such a great message and I think everyone who reads this should reflect on the choices made by the characters and how those choices shaped their outcome. This goes for us readers in real life as well. I loved it.
