Lovely stories, easy to read and interesting. I love the imagery in the stories that you can see every detail. A new favourite I think.

If you want to explore the world of short stories, start here. Some of these were hilarious, unflinching in its diversity of characters (including sex workers often being the main focus) and punchline, and allowing you to take a glimpse in a world gone by. Some of the hypocritical characters reminded me much of Jane Austen, but with more bite to them and harsher, more cruel in their motives.
Loved every single second of it!

I am again too sleep deprived for a proper review, just read it OK? Read it story by story by story when you need a cathartic cry. Read Boule de Suif for your "people are terrible" cry, and Two Little Soldiers for your "missed chance at love" cry and then follow it with Claire de Lune for your "the world is so beautiful" cry.

But also look up plots/trigger warnings if those are helpful to you.
