I have had this on my TBR for a while and never seemed to get around to it till now and I hate to say it but I’m disappointed. I feel like I had high expectations for this book but at the same time I feel like there could have been more to the story or it could have been longer so that both of the POVs could get an equal amount of time they needed to really care about the characters.

This book tried to be many things at once- ghost story, murder mystery, social commentary- and it just didn’t come together for me.

This book wasn't what I thought it would be and not in a good way.

Yes this story hits close to home about death and grief and I am thankfull for that. Als the idea of a ghost solving a murder could be fun. But I found this book hard to understand the story felt flat and the mystery didn't feel like something at al. Mabey it is just me and other people understand the story and that makes me happy

Gorgeous storytelling, from two of the most important writers in Australia. Despite not sitting in the target demographic, I never felt like I was reading a teenage book or being talked down to. Ambelin and Ezekiel Kwaymullina handle mature themes with dignity and understanding, crafting a short but perfectly paced story full of heart.
