Well written and although aimed at children it keeps you on suspense and you don't know how it will pan out.

Wildly predictable, but still lots of fun due to the great narration, over the top sound effects, and good wholesome adventure. The Hardy boys and their good friend Chet get caught up in a counterfeiting case after getting a phony twenty dollar bill. Their sleuthing (as always) puts them in some tight scrapes and they get into some nasty boat trouble (the teen aged detectives have motorcycles and a boat of their own... color me jealous), but as is the case, they make it out just find and discover that their is more than counterfeiting going on. Cheesy, yet fun.

My review for all of these will probably be the same. They are very old books so the vocabulary is outdated and they also have echoes of problematic thinking but overall they are fun and harmless books. I am reading them to my six year old son and he loves them. He would give them five stars

I didn't realize how different Nancy drew and the Hardy boys are. Not only is their more fighting but there's more mystery. We don't know who is the criminal right away.
It makes them better mysteries, but the characters are a lot flatter hard as that is to imagine. Frank and Joe are interchangeable and so are all their friends except chet.

After finishing HB #2, my kids immediately made me download the next one to listen to. This was fun too, but I didn't love it quite as much as #2. Still good, though!
