A very good satire of the modern society! Reminds me of the French Revolution

“All animals are equal but some are more equal than others.”
I think there’s a lot to say about this book that has already been said but not enough people are talking about it today. Obviously this is a classic, but it’s short and easy to read. It speaks a lot to governments and their abuse of power and authority over their citizens. It also speaks to the importance of education and the ability to think for oneself. Boxer represents all of us lower-middle class and working class people, working away our lives for ultimately nothing.

I get how it was eye opening when it first was released, but I didn't learn anything new. Everything was described in an interesting way though. I probably wouldn't have finished it if I read it instead of listening to an audiobook.

I'm not much of a history person but this really portrays how communism during the russian revolution slowly faded and how the people vote because they like what they hear. The people need to stop putting cruel people into power and start opening their eyes to true things. Just because someone says something you like, doesn't mean it's always going to be like that and I think that it's something very important to learn and know going forward. I read this with my english class and it isn't a bad book but it's not something you hear about often. I think it's a book that as plenty of themes and lessons and is a great book for projects and other activities.
