Interesting retelling focusing on the darker aspects of Peter Pan with a modern twist. Loved it! Always had my attention.

It was ok... a dark take on the well known story of Peter Pan. There are aspects of the story I wish was told more quickly, some I wished was expounded more.. but overall.. it was good enough

If you want/like reading a retelling or reimaging of beloved children's stories but with adult or darker content, then there's no harm trying Darling Girl

BIG fan of this book. Big fan of dark fairytale retellings. Didn’t know Peter Pan could be so dark and twisty.

Holly Darling has suffered so much loss in her life: her husband, one of her twin sons, and her daughter’s life is far from what she hoped, after an accident left her unconscious. She’s been living in New York, making a killing off a new line of beauty products- the newest line? Pixie Dust. Almost too much, but cute. Okay, now, her daughter goes missing. That would be problematic in and of itself. But Eden herself has something that Holly needs. And turns out, something that Peter needs too.

What ensues is the hunt for Peter, a potential love interest with a man who has a hook for a hand, and a mother whose obsession with the family legend might help them all in the end.

This was... disappointing.
If you want a dark Peter Pan retelling, read The Child Thief by Brom instead.

Absolutely LOVED this book!! I read it so fast I couldn’t put it down. Great story and flip on what you thought about Peter Pan and the characters from Neverland.
