this plus evernote has changed my life. totally.

Good knowledge to be gained, but even the 2015 feels severely outdated.

I use a lot more paper than the average knowledge worker as a legal professional, and even I found the advice about physical in trays and folders almost comical.

Too much fluff overall.

Isn't getting 5 stars just because of the lack of structure and unnecessary rambling.
The teachings themselves are great and helped my ADHD brain enormously

Idiot proof method for finally getting organized. I adored it. It really helps to manage the thousand things to do.

I really love the book. However, he lied. I'm still stressed.

I'm an organized guy. I use OmniFocus, and I'm a fan of Inbox Zero. But the deeper into this book I got, the less interested I became in the whole GTD enterprise.

From my current perspective, GTD is just another thing to feel bad about not doing correctly or enough, which is incompatible with the mindful attitude I've been cultivating. I don't need a tickler file to tell me what I need to do at work, and I certainly don't need this level of obsessive categorization in my personal life.

I'm sorry, Mr. Allen, but it's just not for me.

Useful book on making productivity easier by changing the way you organise tasks and information. You don't have to change everything all at once, you can just implement a few useful things. For me, I'm going to work on getting rid of all the old emails in my inbox and taking time to break down problems into smaller tasks. Through listening to this book, I realised that my inbox is full because I don't make decisions about how to handle the emails. Knowing this allows me to work on the problem. I'm also going to experiment with having separate task lists for things I have to do now (this week) or later, so that my overview isn't cluttered with things I don't have to think about now or that I can't even do because I'm waiting for something or someone.

If you've never read any books on productivity, I think this would be a good starting point. The only thing I don't like about it, is that it can be a bit repetitive, but that's because it's set up so you don't have to read the whole book, but can read specific chapters that appeal to you.

Excellent book for thinking about how to organize your work life. Helped tremendously in balancing a diverse and competing priorities. Specific technology recommendations are slightly out of date though in the edition I read - I would recommend picking up the most recent edition.
