This my have fallen victim to my mood- may need to give this series a break

A breath-taking (heh) Lucky Harbor romance.#insixwords

Perhaps one of my favorite contemporary romances and the book that made me fall for author Jill Shalvis.
I adored Chloe's spark, her quirks, and her drive. Chloe may have also been the first heroine I personally read who had a very real health issue, asthma, and had to actively think about her actions and how she lived, including during sexy times. Sawyer is also a great hero, and his insistence on working with, not coddling, Chloe's asthma was super sexy and eye opening to me.

I'd like to thank this book for making me fall in love with contemporary romance novels. My re-read made me fall in love all over again with Chloe and Sawyer. I mean, a hero who researches the heroine's debilitating asthma so he can help give her orgasms without sending her to the ER? Yes, please. Sawyer is frustrating, but his actions are reasonable and real. Reminds me a bit of my own true love <3. I also totally forgot about the mud bath scenes, and love the interactions between Chloe and her sisters.

Wild child Chloe meets reformed badboy sheriff Sawyer. I had big expectations with this book as the characters have been mentioned in the previous two books but I was a bit letdown. I don’t know, I just didn’t feel the chemistry or see the connection. Chloe seemed much weaker and more vulnerable than I would have liked. There were few fun moments, even the sex scenes were tarnished by Chloe’s ever present health issues. This just wasn’t my favourite book in the series. I prefer a bit more banter.

I liked this better than book 2.

HEAD OVER HEELS is youngest sister Chloe's chance for romance. And surprise, surprise; I enjoyed watching her trip along the path of life. Stumbling, careening and muddling whenever Sheriff Sawyer Thompson entered the picture.

Chloe: the 'wild child' with a Vespa. Someone with chronic asthma; her BFFs are the inhaler and the nebulizer. And if you have read the previous two books in the 'Lucky Harbor' series, you know that Chloe is a thorn in the sober yet sexy lawman's side. The bane of his existence. Where she is concerned, her name is trouble with a capital T.

With regards to Chloe, she spoke to the side of him that the sheriff had to keep locked up. Ever the professional, his appearance in public was important all the time. She had a hidden goodness that gave him purpose and, at the same time, drove him crazy.

Each was the strength to the other's soft spots. IMHO, their story had depth. And they gave new meaning to having sex for the first time. Trust me, you will know what I mean when you read about it.

Sawyer Thompson knew Chloe finally found a place to belong. With him.

I've heard quite a bit about Jill Shalvis and her Lucky Harbor series from others but never managed to read any of her books till now. Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers there for giving me a copy of my first Jill Shalvis book.

Romance always makes my heart flutter. *sigh* Head Over Heels did just that. Chloe's someone I could relate to. She's a feisty and free spirited woman who hasn't had the best luck in her love life - that's mostly because she always picks the wrong guys. One day she gets a visit from Sawyer, the unfriendly local sheriff, for a cup of coffee and she feels an instant attraction but pushes it away assuming that they weren't right for each other.

I don't know where to begin. Chloe is a character I really liked from the start and could even relate to. She's got asthma but instead of letting it get to her, she's always making jokes about it - even in relation to her love life by trying to decide if the guy is 'inhaler-worthy'. Ha ha.

Chloe and Sawyer were perfect for each other. They balance each other out. Like I said, there were moments when my heart fluttered while reading this book. Sawyer's so so different from Chloe.
He's got his ways and he sticks to them. He's not very impulsive or flexible and yet, Chloe and him match like two pieces of a jig-saw puzzle. For someone who thinks he's incapable of love, he sure does fall head over heels for Chloe.

“Chloe?”
“Yeah?”
“I’d be worth the inhaler,” he said, then forced himself to walk away into the night.

I'm a sucker for good lines and I've found a treasure trove of quotes that I love in Head Over Heels. This alone is enough for me to add Jill Shalvis to my 'favorite-authors' list. I'm so excited that this is my first Lucky Harbor book and I have more of Jill Shalvis to last till May, when her next book releases!

Chloe has always been a wild child. She's the only one of the daughters who lived with her mother growing up. She lived a vagabond life where she saw her mother live out loud and say I love you to everyone. So, Chloe doesn't say those words. Sheriff Sawyer Thompson follows all the rules. After a misspent youth that ended in tragedy, Sawyer keeps all his emotions inside and follows rule rigidly. Needless to say, Sawyer and Chloe butt heads regularly. But, they are also attracted. They begin a physical relationship that neither of them understand. What Chloe begins to understand is that Sawyer respects her for who she is. He doesn't think she needs to change. Sawyer is working on the DEA to find a drug dealer. Chloe gets mixed up with his investigation. Sawyer and Chloe realize the truth about how they feel about each other. They really understand each other. This was a great story about two very interesting and complex people who find happiness together.

Chloe and Sawyer's story. The wild child falls for the former bad boy turned sheriff. Sparks fly, asthma attacks and mud baths! Yummy, fun read. 3.75 stars

Jill Shalvis did it again, she created an amazing book that you can not put down. As much as I love both Maddie and Tara, especially Tara because I could not put down her story, Chloe is definitely one to be reckon with. Looks like Sawyer Thompson is the one to get her to finally deep within herself and over come some issues that she never knew she even had. All in all it was amazing read and definitely one I will probably come back to.
