I loved Hirano and Kaguira in the original series - Sasaki and Miyano - and they're even better here. I love getting to see both sides of POV. Hirano is so oblivious, but in a way that makes more sense here. Kaguira is madly in love with Hirano, but whereas it felt one-sided in S&M, it feels natural here, a progression over time. One thing that surprised me was their ages. I knew it was a HS romance but to realise Hirano was 17 and Kaguira only 15 kind of surprised me.

Considering the art style, I shouldn’t be surprised this is related to Sasaki and Miyano. I enjoyed this story a bit more. It’s a cute story about a senpai and kouhai that are roommates in a dormitory. Hirano looks after Kagiura and makes sure he gets up on time, takes care of him when he’s sick and eats well. Parental stuff, to be honest. In seeing how Hirano looks after him, Kagiura develops a crush on him.

It’s cute.
