Ma scusate, l'autore non ce l'aveva un editor? Sarebbe servito.
Questo libro presenta un bel po' di problemi: oltre ad essere molto ripetitivo (letteralmente nello stesso dialogo venivano ripetute minimo 2 volte le stesse cose), l'ho trovato esageratamente lungo.
Fino al 30% non succede niente, dopo inizia ad ingranare lentamente con il caso di Victoria Ford e verso il 90% prende una strada completamente diversa e parla di tutt'altro. Ma a me che cazzo me ne frega del piano di Avery e della sua storia d'amore con Walt?? Ma concentrati sul caso dio mio! Infatti nella parte finale ho saltato qualche paragrafo perchè mi stavo innervosendo. Il finale pure è stato brutto e messo a caso, non l'ho trovato prevedibile ma anticlimax, avrebbe fatto più scalpore se fosse stato scoperto e rivelato a poco a poco dai nostri protagonisti. E invece no, concentriamoci su un argomento completamente a caso che non c'entra niente con quello che abbiamo scritto fino ad ora. Cioè, io sono venuta qua per un caso di omicidio e mi sono ritrovata a leggere di finanza...
Con un giusto editor sarebbe potuto essere un libro più intrigante, che peccato e che spreco di alberi.

My first book by this author and I wasn’t fully into it. I was seeing Twenty Years Ago all around and I was in a slump so I was intrigued to start it. It was a good start, but then chapter 1 to about chapter 15 were just so slow. To me personally I have read so many thrillers that I can be very picky. However once it started picking up, I was surprised by how the author wrote the book. The way he was able to tie in so many characters and plots into the story did make me think a lot. I enjoyed the ending and the twist, but overall I think it was not my favorite.
