I recently found out that this author grew up a couple of towns over from me, so that was a fun connection. This book did a good job of slowly revealing information to keep the reader invested in the plot. It would have been 4 stars if the ending hadn’t been as rushed. The author was trying to do too many things at once and it got a little overwhelming. Overall, a good read though.
I am disappointed I guess. There was so much going on with this one and it just didn’t work for me. I found it to stretch the believable a bit too much. I was irritated by one of the twists. I saw it coming … but really? And it was a bit too long and repetitive. It was a distraction at times, but there were just too many things that bothered me for me to say I enjoyed it.
