This one had my attention right from the beginning and kept it. I read it in 2 days. Quite different from many mystery/thrillers. This was based on Avery but the plot included a variety of supporting characters which I felt were fleshed out pretty well. Love how the ending tied everything together and dropped a couple of big surprises. Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Looking forward to more by this author.

The epilogue pissed me off so much, I could only give it 4⭐️

It took me several chapters to get into this book, but once I did it sucked me in! Wow. That ending. I did not see that coming!

I started listening to this at work. This is probably a really good book, but not something I can listen to while I'm working. I'll try again when I can listen while driving

I was going to give it a 4 but the double twist at the end changed my mind. I probably should’ve seen it coming earlier than I did… but he got me. Points awarded.

Twenty Years Later tells the story of an investigative reporter and an ex-federal agent who are brought together due to their shared interests in a 20 year old murder.
Avery is a reporter and host of a popular 60 minute style show with a family history she is desperate to keep away from her current life. After an ID made on a body lost in the twin towers is linked to a murder she knows that she can tell a story that will truly make her a household name.
Walt however is a retired federal agent who has run off and is still licking his wounds after he almost died on the job and was betrayed by those he trusted. The murder linked to the body identified happened to be is first case as a detective. Unfortunately the fact that Walt is available and in the States is no coincidence and he is hiding secrets of his own.
The two come together to figure out what really happened. But also to manage the ghosts haunting them here and now.

I didn't really enjoy Twenty Years Later ....nothing really happened until we got to last hour of the book and then it felt as though the author was rushing to pull everything together. It was really hard to suspend disbelief in regards to how opportune certain things were.
