I have yet to read a book by Donlea that wasn't good. He just has a way of developing characters while also not making them boring. I feel like sometimes writers get so caught up in character development that it detracts from the actual story. Donlea has figured out the perfect mix. He always has a twist that leaves you thinking WOW, but it is also believable. Many authors reuin their story with one or more obnoxious, unbelievable twists.

This book was true Donlea style and dis all of the above. If you like a thriller/mystery (not a cozy one), and you haven't read him, run don't walk to the bookstore, library, or Amazon and pick up one of his books.

The book was headed toward a 4-star rating...but then came the last couple of chapters! I love a good ending that gets me jumping out of my reading chair!
