I’ll admit I liked this more than era 1: the stakes are a bit lower and the world far less depressing, yet the magic just as interesting. There’s humour to this and the characters and their relationships were fun to follow.

Solid start to the new Mistborn Era. I really enjoy the concept of continuing a story in the same world, but moved forward in time, with new technology and culture to play with. This story was much smaller than I remember it being, but it does introduce the main elements of conflict moving toward the next books in the series. The characters are fun, and I really enjoy the way Sanderson played with the action scenes and new allomantic powers. A fun romp.

Very different to era 1 and I had heard it wasn't as good, but I did really enjoy this! I've found that I really enjoy urban fantasy and the development of the world was really fun to read about, as were the two main characters. The detective/mystery feel was also really fun!
