this book took me a long time to read because of a slight reading slump and a busy life. the book itself is no way to blame as it was absolutely wonderful!!

firstly, the representation in this book !!!! AHHH *chefs kisses* ! you do not see a lot of books with mc’s who have chronic illness or are plus sizes, and talia tackled the topics so perfectly. not just with chloe, but red too!! i wont go into detail about that because it will spoil some of the book.

i absolutely adored both chloe and red, separately and together !!! 🥰 so many emotions while reading this book. maybe i should find someone to help me get a life!

I enjoyed this book but there was a little more swearing and explicit content then I would usually go for

I really enjoyed this book. I saw a lot of myself in Chloe and I loved seeing her open up and really come into herself. This book is dirty which I expected since it’s a romance but also still caught me off guard at times. The way Red could say the sweetest most loving things to her and then IMMEDIATELY follow it up with the dirtiest sentence I’ve ever read made me giggle, it’s so surprising sometimes. I also really liked how much Red loved her and how much he loved the simple little things that made her unique, it was very sweet. But, I hate the miscommunication trope and I feel like it came out of nowhere in this book. I didn’t like how mean he was to her (it felt out of character to me) and I didn’t like how close to the end it was, it kind of tainted the ending of the story for me. Still, I really liked it and I’m looking forward to reading the other two books in this series.
