Its fun. The spice may be over exaggerated, but this is a classic rom-com anyone can enjoy.

A deliciously sweet romance, this book was such a fun read! I honestly went into this book knowing littke about the plot, just that I'v seen it in a lot from various other readers/bloggers i follow, so i decided it was time to give it a try. And I was not disappointed. The sweet building romance between Chloe and Red, the misplaced overprotectiveness from siblings, and an eccentric grandmother for good measure. Chloe Brown is going to get a life through a list of adventures that require bravery and adventure from the homebody.

After being abandoned by her friends and fiancé after a surprising medical diagnosis, Chloe hid herself away in her parents house refusing to meet new people because they will only leave her when things get tough. I really loved watching Chloe come out of her protective shell and re-find her place in the world. With none other than the adorable Red. What started out as animosity between an apartment superintendent and tenant, slowly morphs into a delicious romance. Healing both Chloe and Red from past relationships. I thourouly enjoyed the conversation and banter between Chloe and Red, which was both witty and effective.

I really loved that this book dealt with some dark topics, but kept the overall tone light. I know that may not be for everyone, but humor is an effective coping mechanism for many and I believe that helps make this such an enjoyable book. The writing style was easy to read, and the story moved along at a nice fast pace.

Overall, I really enjoyed the read and I enjoyed being a part of Chloe and Red's story as they fell in love and overcame difficult pasts.

guys i didn’t like this book as much as everyone else liked it. did i love chole? yes 100% but did this book miss for me just a little? yes 100%

now i could just be in a slump from summer reading but this book was just okay for me. i loved the representation chronic illness i think they author did so well with writing chole. oh i also loved how the author covered red’s character.

idk i just couldn’t love this. i ended up speed reading the end bc i was over it. maybe i’ll try the other books in the series. also guys some seller or non seller points: they’re british, the book is in third person, and red’s pov not pov but if yk yk addressed the vagina as a cunt. is that british terminology??
