• I gave it 5🌟 for emotional reasons, but if I analyse it, maybe a 4🌟75 for two reasons.

• Illnesses aren't my type of topic, I always cry. Fibromyalgia was a safer bet and I was curious to know how they would describe chronic pain. To me, it seemed realistic, from the care needed to the different degrees of pain and symptoms.

• The way Chloe faced the list she made throughout the book had good development. Made me think.

• Red seeming like a bad boy but actually being such a sweet man was a nice surprise. His character had nice and interesting aspects to it like his attitude facing his art after doubting himself and also how he felt after a very toxic past relationship.

• I really liked the sisters (I'm going to read their books) and the grandma (I want to adopt the progressive lady as my own grandmother)

• The banter between Chloe and Red was so nice, with sarcasm and flirting, love it 😍. The romance was so thoughtful and sexy, one of those you think "too good to be true". We read to dream, right? The 🌶️ is great, I got 🥵 and they weren't even kissing.

• The only things I had to point out were: it would be more interesting if Red's life and his problems weren't solved so quickly, his mother and therapy; and the book should have two more chapters to solve their traumas suitably. Chap. 21 was so well written but solved quickly.

• The book is perfect for those who want to start diversifying the authors they read and include more protagonists of colour. A very good rom-com with 🌶️ that I recommend.

This story was a delight!  It is definitely a cozy romantic comedy. The chronic pain/ disability reparation was really interesting. It’s not something I’m used to, but it definitely added to the story. As of now, I’m definitely #TeamRedfordMorgan. I will definitely be continuing with the other books in the series.

I was recommended this because they say I would relate to Chloe Brown and i gotta say i do! This girlie has chronic pain, makes big plans but then doesn’t really wanna leave the house and falls in love with an artistic ginger.
This is such a wholesome story with good characters, an interesting plot and fantastic smut!

Lovely romance novel with a different take on a lot of things.

Bring diversity, trauma, mental health, chronic illness into the mix. I liked it!

There was a part in the middle where the sex became almost boring and I was waiting for the conflict.
when the conflict came, Talia Hibbert delivered

Yes yes yes I loved this book so much. Chloe's character was so beautifully written, and I loved how her chronic pain was written into the story as well, it was incorporated beautifully without it being her entire personality, and as someone with arthritis I really appreciate that. Her struggle with abandonment was also beautifully written, it felt so palpable and real. Then there was Red, beautiful, messy Red. He was funny and kind and too soft for this world, the perfect golden retriever boyfriend. His passion for his art burned through the pages, it was described so vividly. His banter with Chloe had me rooting for them from the start, but obviously this is a romance so I was pretty sure they would end up together, and I'm so happy they did. I listened to the audio book as well as reading the physical version, and Adjoa Andoh made the characters come to life. Highly recommend listening to it as well as reading the physical version.
