Chloe Brown is so real, so human. She's quirky, she's flawed, she's authentic and she's completely loveable. She's been hurt in the past by love, by friends and by life.

Redford Morgan has also been hurt. He's a giant of a man who admits to his feelings, admits that he has been hurt. He's a "manly-man" in appearance but without any toxic masculinity. He's a good man.

And it's so refreshing to read a book where the black protagonist is just that. It's not political. It's not racial. It's not making a statement. And don't get me wrong, there is a need for those books, and those truths, and I've read and loved many of them. But we need more of this, too.

We need more Chloe Browns.

And yes, she has sisters. I'll be reading Dani and Eve's books in the near future.

Get a Life, Chloe Brown is romantic, sexy, emotional, moving and hilarious. Definitely recommend.

Chloe and Red
Cute story with topics of both physical and mental health, overcoming past trauma, and family dynamics

Wow did this book surprise me! I had some trouble getting into it at first. The first few chapters just didn’t capture me but I kept reading and was pleasantly surprised! I was not expecting it to be so steamy! Don’t get me wrong, I love steamy books (the steamier the better in my opinion) but the way the book was going and how refined and proper Chloe was, I didn’t think she had it in her.

I always love a Hibbert contemporary. Even though this deals with chronic pain and someone coming out of an abusive relationship (that part is only detailed a little) it seems lighter in tone than some of the others.
