This was my first romantasy and at first, I wasn't sure how I felt because I’m used to epic fantasy. Once I realized that I was able shift my mindset. I really enjoyed the characters. I feel confident I could write out each character and their traits and potential actions/ motives. The political intrigue and plot were interesting. The relationship formed nicely with lust coming before love. Speaking of lust there is a lot of spice which I don’t mind. I felt that it didn’t take away from the story and I appreciated that each scene was different to prevent repetitiveness and boredom. Cerberus is my favorite. My only qualm was with the ending. I did not appreciate having to follow the least likable character when my girls were hurt and shattered. It felt almost like it should have been worked into the second book. It was interesting yes; I just wanted a different ending. All in all, I will be continuing the series. Idk how deep I’ll go into this sub-genre, but it makes for a great palate cleanser.

I’m a sucker for the magic system used, and the different world types can lead to this becoming a great series. The spice was spicing and the touch her and die was just the right amount of oh sh*t she crazy and awwww she’s a big teddy bear. I had a great time reading this book can’t wait for book 2

I really enjoyed this story so much! I liked how the world has some Greek mythology inspired details and how uniquely Gonzalez utilized them! The world building was so seamless and vivid so it was easily to slip into this story and get lost.

The main characters stole my heart! It was insta lust but their love formed slow and tender. I liked the caretaking in the story from Maris. The protective and possessive way Valda was obsessed with Maris also stole my heart. I absolutely loved Valda’s nickname for Maris 🥰 Seashell 🐚 It was perfect! The spice was plentiful and just chef kiss delish!

I would recommend this one to my romantasy lovers! I am looking forward to what is to come for this couple in the next book!

When I tell you, I was enraptured by the beginning, I WAS HOOKED! As a kid who adore Greek Mythology, the way this book seamlessly weaved in Gods and a world created solely by the author was pure magic. This book is one of my top reads of the year so far.
