too slow and boring. family drama with not enough suspense. i can tell it would be a 2 star
I listened to the audiobook of this book. I did not find this book had a real storyline. It was all over the place with 4-5 different narratives. I did find it weird that a well lived heart surgeon was bound to be married when his ill wife was still alive. I also wouldn’t call this a mystery book - just be prepared for a tragic incident to occur at the end. Overall this book lacked any suspense/story line or anything that would intrigue a reader.

Appreciate the alluding to coercive control and the illusions abusers create that make ppl not in the relationships blind to what’s happening. Also liked the uncertainties author created that make readers wondered which was the truth. But as a reader, I also like dislike that because I like to know what is.
