I enjoy her books as they are easy to read. This was a good story, but the ending was frustrating. I did enjoy the character development.

What started as a family-matter book soon turned dark, but in the best way possible.
Sally Hepworth writes a great story about a family with a twisted history, secrets galore, and hope for a new future. I really enjoyed the characters in this book and how they all hold complex traits. There is so much humanity within each character that allows the reader to feel connected and seen.
I appreciated how the main characters were not unphased by childhood trauma - it was more realistic that each daughter had a small complex that they did not realize. I also appreciated how the inner workings of each character were revealed in waves, keeping the reader invested.
The book is not too dark or dreary. There are elements of romance, reflection, friendship, and reconnection that make the book meaningful.

I highly suggest this book to anyone who likes an easy read that takes a little bit of thinking, has a bit of a dark turn, and ends better than you would expect.

Another disappointing finish. Hooked for 90% and hated the ending. This book has so much potential. I need an alternate ending.

I just wasn’t a huge fan of this one. I felt like Sally tried to throw every sensitive issue into this book and nothing really stuck for me. The MMC also had so many red flags that I saw most of the storyline play out before it did.

This was my first Sally Hepworth book, and I really felt like she wrote family/domestic suspense really well.  It started really well and I did find it interesting but in some parts it dragged, and I felt the ending was so underwhelming - with too many unanswered questions!

Suspense with a dash of gaslighting.

Relatively easy and quickly read. Structure of chapters and multiple points of view made it page turning.

Particularly enjoyed the slow reveal of
Stephen as gaslighting all the women although the end wasn’t as twisty as I was hoping.

Rachel and Tully side stories weren’t given enough attention or depth in my opinion which made
Rachel’s rape as a teenager too arbitrary considering it’s such an important and heavy topic.

I was able to read this ebook through NetGalley!

This book, about a father trying to get married (while his wife with dementia is still alive) was....fine. I wasn't blown away by it. It was VERY predictable, and the foreshadowing was silly and elementary. There was little actual suspense.

I was not a huge fan of the ending, and I think it actually did a disservice to survivors of abuse, but that's just me.
