So the rating was supposed to be much lower because the book, even though still entertaining, drags a little at times.

BUT

The ending. It's brilliant. She did it. I expected just another murder mystery, like so many I've read before, but Christie got me once again. Chapeau bas!

This was a great quick read to get me out of my reading slump. The characters are great (I especially love the narrator's nosy sister) and the plot twist at the end was unexpected. This one didn't floor me as much as The Murder on the Orient Express or And Then There Were None, but definitely up there with Christie's better murderer reveals.

Definitely better than the other Poirot I've read. And the ending made me want to read it again sometime, to see all the pieces coming together!
