Truly a masterpiece. One of the best Agatha Christie books I've ever read. Such mastery over words, keeps you wondering until the end. Must read.

I enjoyed the plot twist, honestly didn’t see it coming until Poirot was laying out the whole case at the end!

Book seven of my personal read through of Agatha Christie in publication order!

This is not one of my personal favorites, but it is a very clever one. I remember the complete shock I had at the reveal when I read this one in my teens! I spent most of this read through trying to figure out if I actually remembered the ending or if I was thinking of a different story, which was entertaining in its own way, but also somewhat distracted me from enjoying the story as it unfolded.

This book was so much fun. Agatha Christie's books are always the ones that bring me joy after a heavy read. They are fast, easy and they also make you think since they are mysteries. I'm happy to say that I guessed correctly this time.
The first Agatha Christie that I read had the same twist, the unreliable narrator. It hit me super hard the first time, I still like it the second time but the other one was done a bit better so 4.The only thing that made me doubt sometimes was Poirot comparing him to Hastings. After helping him all this time and being the Hastings in this book, I was like she wouldn't do that right? And then she did.
Overall although some parts were slower than others I really liked it and I understand now why this is thought to be one of Agatha Christie's best works.

i didn't suspect the killer before it was revealed it was great

it woul  be a 5 star read but took half a star off because the essay in the front and back really wasn't necessary

it would have spoiled my enjoyment had i read the essay before reading the story
