I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This short story introduces us to Alessandra, a slightly more mature than usual 5 year old with a special ability. She can see the coloured ribbons that surround everything, and is able to manipulate these ribbons to bring inanimate objects to life.
I found this book very intriguing and was immediately drawn in. This is a great start to a new series and I am excited to find out more about these characters and how Alessandra's abilities will develop and grow.
Lizzy Ford has done another GREAT job with the start to another amazing series.

I like the idea of having a mini series to introduce us to the characters for her “Omega Series”

Alessandra is an adorable little girl with a big heart. She hated seeing a gargoyle suffer after he was broken by older boys so she fixed him with a magical green ribbon that she can see and manipulate. She ended up with a huge night time protector who comes in handy when the men in the black vans come to find her and take her.

This is a very cute and intriguing mini story. You get a look on how Alessandra’s day usually goes. Introduced to Mismatch and Mrs Nettles and get absorbed in a world like ours but more magical and all from a very special little girls view.

The ending leaves off with a great cliffhanger and I’m looking forward to the next story.

I think I might have down rated it because I kept getting interrupted or extremely tired while reading it.

There are some good stuff here, it wasn't too long or too short and it was a cute and horrible story about Alessandra and her extraordinary gift that caused trouble for everyone around her.
She's a secret of some sort? Hidden from the Gods due to her gift for sure.
I liked Mismatch, and how she said that he belonged to her and she needed to take care of him just for him to turn it around so she would always have someone protecting her too!
To be honest, the cat-teddybear koala thing freaked me out. I get it, she's six and we all would have done something similar but still.

I highly recommend picking up this book and not just because it's free. Once you start reading this book you will soon find yourself falling for a cute 5 year old little girl named Alessandra. Alessandra has the ability to bring her stuffed animals to life, which is something she does often especially for a little afternoon tea.

Watch as she comes to the rescue of a Gargoyle who's being bullied. She befriends the Gargoyle and names him Mismatch.

This is the first book in the Omega Beginnings Miniseries and I can't wait to see where it's headed. I look forward to the release of the second book in the miniseries and seeing what all Alessandra is going to be capable of doing.

A definite must read.

I appreciated that the information on the website made it clear that this was a short story. There were a couple of grammatical things that drove me crazy, but overall it was intriguing and I could see myself checking out the novels for which this is a prequel as I really want to know more about the world now.

In episode one, we meet our little heroine, Alessandra and she is an adorable 5 year old. We are learning her world as we go and it is strange but intriguing. My heart is breaking for this precious little girl who has to make her own friends because it's too dangerous for her to go out in the world. Someone wants to take this little girl with special abilities away from her parents. We also meet Mismatch the Grotesque. I can't wait to see what happens next!

Super awesome! LOVED it and cannot wait for more!!! This is a very interesting story that will make you want to know more about Lyssa and Mismatch. It's a short story and a quick read but a very good one that won't bore you for one second. Definitely recommend reading this story.

This is a very short prequel to a new series I am dying to read! It is like reading the first chapters and they are exciting indeed.

Young Alessandra (5 years old) is on a school trip and sees a gargoyle being hurt by boys. She can see 'ribbons' and has a very special green ribbon herself. She helps the gargoyle and names him Mismatch. She has brought him to life.

And when young Alessandra needs his help, he is there.

Great start. I will look for this series.
