Another solid volume. I feel like this is a problem with the previous volumes but there’s too much focus on the side characters, especially Shiho. Though I do like what they’re doing with her character. She’s a bitchy rival but she has layers, she’s not completely evil Shoujo rival. You start to understand why she is how she is. I mean she’s a teen, teens can be like that. At first I hated her character but now my opinion has defiently changed hah. I don’t think I like her character but I think her character is interesting.
But still I feel like it’s becoming more her story than Yori/Hima… we did get some cute moments with the couple. The first chapter was adorable and my favorite chapter of the volume. I wish there was more of that. I mean the b plot is pretty good and the drama is very juicy and keeps me wanting to read the next volume. But I wish there was a better balance between the romance plot and b plot. It seems like the balance is getting better, with more focus on the couples relationship developments.
And I do think almost everyone in the cast having a sapphic romance drama is getting a little much. Idk it was handled better with Aki’s arc, but now Shiho is starting to have a bit romance drama. There’s a lot of drama in this series I guess, but it’s really good drama and there’s a cute fluffy romance to go along with it.
In the end it’s Whisper me a love song, if you liked the other volumes you’ll love this.
Idk how many more volumes the series will have. I hate keeping up with publishing manga, but I’ll make an exception for this.
In fact while I was waiting to read this volume a new volume came out so I’ll be trying to get my hands on that.

Shiho's an even bigger jerk, but it's kinda cool, how the author's not even trying to make her likable. Or maybe she is, and it's only causing the opposite for me...

If Aki and Shiho really are gonne make up, I'm gonna scream. Out of unhappiness, that is. Aki deserves a happy ending and Shiho is like the opposite of a happy ending. That girl needs therapy really bad.
Talk about your issues with Aki all you want and finally tell the truth, but I'm not gonna support any friendship. As I said in my review for volume 5, some things are better left alone.

I did love the scenes with Himari and Yori though! They're so cute!!! <3
